By using crop-waste such as rice husk, coffee husk and bamboo waste to make eha tableware products, we prevent crop-burning and reduce use of fossil and other carbon intensive materials. They are very durable and recyclable after extensive use. They reduce CO2 emissions and conserve resources, thereby supporting circular economy and fight climate change.
Eha's eco friendly tableware products are made with our proprietary biocomposite materials. Biocomposites are a blend of natural fibers and polypropylene, which is extensively tested and used in healthcare and food industry. They are free from BPA, pthalates, styrene, melamine and PFAS.
Eha's earth friendly tableware products are completely made in India, starting from sourcing the raw materials to manufacturing and packaging them for delivery. The intellectual property of making the biocomposites material from crop-waste is also owned by us, headquartered in Bengaluru, India.
We source crop-waste in a responsible and sustainable way from farms and factories. Crop-waste such as coffee husk and wheat straw are sourced from farms, while bamboo waste and wood waste are sourced from factories using bamboo and wood in their production process.
FAQ - PRODUCT USAGE
The biocomposites material used to make eha's eco friendly cups and mugs are certified safe by TUV for microwave appliance as per European standard. We recommend the use of microwave for reheat only, and not to microwave continuously for more than 1 min.
Eha's sustainable cups and mugs contain natural fibers derived from crop-waste and hence some precaution is needed while washing them. They can be handwashed with hand or sponge we recommend avoiding harsh scrubs and chemicals while washing. They are also suitable for washing in top-rack dishwasher.
Eha's sustainable tableware products are made with biocomposites material that are durable and can be reused many times and years. Please follow washing instructions, store them dry and away from sunlight for prolonged usage.
Eha's planet friendly tableware products are suitable for reuse. After extensive use, if you wish to dispose them, we suggest you hand them over to your local municipal waste collection for recycling along with other dry waste suitable for recycling.
