What makes them sustainable?
eha' sustainable planters are made with 100% recycled materials. By using crop-waste such as rice husk, coffee husk and bamboo waste to make eha cups and mugs, we prevent crop-burning and reduce use of fossil and other carbon intensive materials. They are very durable and recyclable after extensive use. Making eha planters results in negative carbon emissions, thereby supporting circular economy and fight climate change.
Do they contain plastic?
The eha's eco friendly planters are made with our proprietary biocomposite materials. The biocomposites material used to make the planter are a blend of natural fibers and recycled plastics, which are impact modified and UV stabilised.
Where are the eha planters manufactured?
Eha's earth friendly planters are completely made in India, starting from sourcing the raw materials to manufacturing and packaging them for delivery. The intellectual property of making the biocomposites material from crop-waste is also owned by us, headquartered in Bengaluru, India.
Where do you source crop-waste used to make eha eco friendly products?
We source crop-waste in a responsible and sustainable way from farms and factories. Crop-waste such as coffee husk and wheat straw are sourced from farms, while bamboo waste and wood waste are sourced from factories using bamboo and wood in their production process.

What is the use of self-watering inner tray?
The self-watering inner tray provided with the planter isolates the soil and plant roots from the container that contains excess water. The water stored in the container under the self-watering tray keeps the soil and roots hydrated sufficiently through capillary effect. This helps in conserving water resources and keep the roots healthy.
Can I grow the plants directly in the planters?
In order to maximise the benefits of self-watering system, it is advised to grow the plants directly in the planter. There are many best practices of layering the soil above self-watering tray available in youtube that you can refer to. However, you can also place another pot inside the self-watering planter if you wish to do so.
How long can the products be used for?
Eha's sustainable planters are made with biocomposites material that are UV stabilised and impact modified - they are durable and can be reused many times and years.
How do I best dispose the products after use?
After extensive use, if you wish to dispose the products, we suggest you hand them over to your local municipal waste collection for recycling along with other dry waste suitable for recycling.
