eha mugs are made with our proprietary biocomposite materials. biocomposite materials are made using natural fibers from renewable sources such as rice husk, coffee husk and bamboo fibers, together with food safe binders that include commonly used polypropylene and additives. our biocomposite materials used for making mugs are certified by TUV (EU standard) for food contact use, including hot beverages.

yes, they are certified safe to be used in microwave oven for reheat purpose. We recommend not to use them for more than a minute in the microwave oven.

they are durable products designed with an intention for extensive use and reuse. by ensuring the washing cycles are gentle without harsh scrubs and chemicals, their life can be extended for many years.

the mugs and cups are built with circularity principles. there three key principles of circularity – 1. products are made from renewable and recovered resources. 2. produces are made durable for extensive use and resuse. 3. products can be recycled at the end of their current use. making the mugs and cups biodegradable reduces their shelf life and does not enable us to recycle the resources after its current use. there are many other socio-economic and environmental issues with biodegradable solutions when applied for everyday reusable products.

our eco friendly coffee mugs are made from repurposed rice husk, coffee husk and bamboo sourced from farm and factories nearby. they are blended with food safe binders and toxic free additives to form biocomposite materials. biocomposites are then heated and moulded into the final mug.

the earth friendly coffee mugs and cups are completely made in India – they are first of its kind. we source the raw materials and make biocomposite materials with our proprietary technology in our manufacturing facility. the biocomposite materials are drop-in solution to replace plastics with high renewable content and low carbon footprint. we then send these biocomposite materials to our partners who are currently moulding plastic household products. they use our biocomposite materials in their manufacturing setup to make these eco-friendly coffee mugs and cups for us as per our specification and processing guidelines. the complete process is tracked and shared with you transparently through the QR code supplied along with the mugs and cups.

yes, it can be hand washed with soft scrub or sponge. also certified safe for top-rack dishwashing.

yes, for large volumes we can certainly customise based on your requirements. the first level of customisation is with colour and prints. for 5000+ units, we can customise the color and have prints for branding. the second level of customisation is with shape and size. for this, we need to develop new moulds and it only makes sense if your requirements are 1,00,000+ units.
